»Land im Land »
With « Land im Land », the last premiere of the project series D³ – Dance Discovers Digital, the choreographer Stephanie Thiersch creates a performance that raises the issue of the connection between people and across continents.
Three communities gather on the TOR6 stage between Toubab Dialaw and Bielefeld for a colorful celebration: the ensemble from TANZ Bielefeld, four dancers from Thiersch’s Cologne company MOUVOIR and five artists from Africa.
Through holographic projections, the presence of all artists at the scene can be felt in different ways and the concept of hospitality takes on a whole new meaning. Who invites to this party and who is invited? Or are you both a guest and a host? At the interface of dance and digital media art, land within a country is an invitation to immerse oneself in speculative futures and scenarios of being together.
In cooperation with Ecole des Sables, International Center for Traditional and Contemporary African Dances, Toubab Dialaw, Senegal and MOUVOIR
