»Land im Land »
An immersive gathering of bodies, borders, and futures
2022 , Germany -Bielefield, Toubab dialao
» Holographic projections dissolve distances, allowing bodies in Toubab Dialaw and Bielefeld to dance together in real time. Artists become both here and elsewhere, host and guest, inviting you into a shared ritual of movement, hospitality, and speculative futures. »
This project matters deeply to me because it weaves worlds together. It is a dance of presence and absence, a gathering without borders, where our shadows meet beyond oceans. Land im Land becomes a landscape within a landscape – a place to celebrate connection, difference, and the possibilities of dancing together even when apart.

» INVENTASY IX »
A laboratory for community, kinship, and artistic exploration
2023, Germany ,Koln
Nine international artists gathered for INVENTASY IX, a research laboratory led by choreographer Stephanie Thiersch.
This intensive week explored the essence of human bonding and the many forms of chosen family. Through movement, improvisation, and interdisciplinary creation, we asked:
What connects us beyond blood?
How do we build communities through art, care, and shared imagination?
It was a space of reflection and experimentation, weaving together bodies, stories, and visions of belonging

»UNTIL THE BEGINNINGS »
A vibrant dance-poem of hospitality and connection
2023 ,Germany – Senegal
»Beneath a canvas of global rhythms, Until the Beginnings unfolds as a vivid dance-poem, uniting eight dancers from Senegal, Germany, and France with musicians rooted in spoken word and rap ».
Directed by Alesandra Seutin (Artistic Director, École des Sables, Senegal) and Stephanie Thiersch (Artistic Director, MOUVOIR, Germany), this creation weaves diverse artistic languages into a choreographic tapestry that questions and reimagines the essence of hospitality.
Here, movement becomes dialogue, rhythm becomes refuge, and the stage transforms into a place where strangers become kin – a landscape of bodies, voices, and silent stories searching for home together

CHANEL
The Métiers d’art 2022/23 CHANEL – DAKAR fashion show is the result of creative encounters over the past three years.
Attracted by the vibrant creative energy of Dakar, choreographers, directors, musicians, authors, and friends of the House gathered to inspire and shape this project.
They witnessed Slow Show, a collective dance performance by choreographer Dimitri Chamblas in collaboration with African dance icon Germaine Acogny, performed by dancers from her renowned École des Sables.
This encounter became a testament to the power of movement to unite generations, disciplines, and cultures in one shared breath

»AIR DE TEMPS »
“Air de Temps” speaks of an urgent need to express oneself, to explore lost dreams, to confront one’s demons, and to vomit out bitterness – to have a voice. It is a powerful process of taking action to shed the cloak of failure passed down from generation to generation
